"THE HEADLIGHT" thread

I was thinking that it would be nice to have a thread specifically for showing different xB headlight setups so those in the market for new headlight housings could have a preview of what to expect.

so anyone with any headlight housings other than stock should post pics of them installed with maybe a night-time light distribution shot aswell to save everyone some time.

*anyone with the following should post pics*

-bB JDM stockies
-dual halo, single projector SONARs *black and chrome*
-dual halo, dual projector SONARs *black and chrome*
-dual halo + LED eye lids and projector *black and chrome*
-legendary Ichiko *regardless of color*
-anything not USDM stock...

i'll have pics of my sonars tomorrow.

Re: "THE HEADLIGHT" thread

Maybe I am the only one, but I love the look of stock headlights, and have no desire to change the appearance on them what so ever, other than the bulbs inside them....

And just because, Old pic, but a classic trend setting pic

Re: "THE HEADLIGHT" thread

here's mine finally.

Sonar Classics (dual halo, single blue tinted projector, moddified casper sheilds *in the projectors* and full silver signal reflectors).

adds - Pilot JDM yellow fogs.

.
.
bulbs are 5300k HID.

i'm looking into getting some Ichiko lights, they're a bit more hardcore looking in my opinion... so... i have to have them... period...

Re: "THE HEADLIGHT" thread

Nice idea fer a thread...

Im sorry...but I have the most cost affective heads EVER...Pretty much cost me nothing...Stock housings, cleared...with flat lenses (to replicate the JDM ones, so I can run JDM FFF's) And blue "neo chrome" side marker's

One day I'll be balla enough to afford real bB Heads

Re: "THE HEADLIGHT" thread

guess I will throw mine in as well,
I only have diff stuff on DOA, gothbox just has cleared stockers with some PIAA bulbs.

So on DOA, cleared stock headlights, blacked out with chrome blinker bulbs and 5K HIDs, and EZ-Baked eyelids. Also have USDM fogs with Silverstar Ultra bulbs. I also painted the edges of the headlight black with the rest of the housing, so I don't get that weird light output from the edges of the light, the only light that comes out is from the front.

And I am not sure why but after I put them back together I got this strange mirror effect on the inside of the lens at most angles. Have no idea why it did that.

and on to light output. I had the HIDs in before I blacked out the lights and man it was a huge diff in output. It still puts out a lot of light but mostly in front of the car, not down the road. For that I have to raise the front and drop the back for them to shine down the road more. Thats also why I upgraded the bulbs in the fogs as well, they help out a lot.

Just HIDs on,

HIDs and fogs on,

Just fogs on,

Yeah, your modified stock ones are nice for the FFF factor

And you get the bB look, with the USDM Clear/Chromeness

I love those fogs. Ever since I got my sonars, I can't stand the rectangular stock fogs.

Re: "THE HEADLIGHT" thread

^^check your local auto parts stores. they're called "Pillot" fogs with like a P10 something model. the yellow tint is actually almost a oily yellow tint with what looks like a hint a blue on it... but it's really yellow when turned on.

they're like 15 bucks... lens is plastic too, so don't need to worry about road debris breaking it like the wally world fogs.
