After blowing out five inverters while hooking up my cold cathodes in the engine compartment of my Box I finally figured out what was wrong...here's the photographic evidence.....







My super duper home made ultra ghetto switch!

The first one I hooked up had the polarity of the power and ground reversed. Each one I connected after that was reversed and blew out on the first try. I'm heading to the electronics store tomorrow to see if I can get the parts to fix them.

On the computer cold cathodes I blew one inverter after a few hours and then decided it was time to put a fuse on the 12 volt line to limit the current, after some digging I found they pull on .5 amp, so a .5 amp fuse stopped the smoke. Ill have to remember the home electrical box trick, up side down
