| knee injury wow i havent been on here for a while due to me blowin my knee out on a dirt bike. yup i wreaked my drit bike on my street. when the bike shot out from me (damn 2 strokes and there powerbands) i tryed to run it off and when my foot hit the ground it completly dislocated my knee. i didnt realize how bad it was till the doctor walked in with that look on his face. you know that look and it dosnt look good. well he said theres a possiblity of loosing my leg due to the dislocation pintching the artery. well after xrays and a ct scan it was lookin good for me keeping my leg but the damage was still bad. three days later we did an MRI and got the results. all four ligimants that hold the knee were completly gone plus a detatched knee cap, two fracutures and a crushed miniscus. so i have a date for surgery so im hoping for the best. im going to SCOI to get my knee fixed and only being 23 i want my damn knee back........ so thats been my fun for the last couple months hows every one else doing/????
also i never realized how expensive it is to fix my knee... between ambulance ride a whole day at the ER xrays ct scans and MRI. im already up to 18,000 dollers and still no surgery. thank god for insurance

| Re: knee injury Dude! That's terrible. I'm glad to hear that you'll be able to keep your leg. The operation and therapy will keep you busy for a while. I guess you'll be spending more time on here now.
Hang in there and I hope all goes well with your surgery. |

| Re: knee injury I feel your pain ( well half way at least) I've had 4 knee surgeries so far on the same knee and have a few screws holding it together. All due to torn ligaments. The hardest part is learning how to walk again and going through PT. I can assure you the surgeries aren't that bad anymore. There nothing like they were back in the late 80's . |

| Re: knee injury I too know the pain of knee injuries, 9 months on crutches/wheel chair, 3 surguries, thousands of dollars later and I still have pain lol. I actually blew my knee out playing football in college, I tore my acl, mci, 5 tears in my minicus, and to top it off had a bone chip in my knee cap, but hey its ok, it hurts, and something ive always lived by, its pain, and pain goes away lol, |

| Re: knee injury well i had my surgery. went great the surgen was very happy with the reconstruction.. i got 2 cadavor ligaments one for the ACL and one for the PCL. they were able to reconstruct the MCL they cleaned up 2 tears on the maniscus and cleaned up some chiping on the bone and also fixed some of the bone that had some egg shell cracking so now im just at home. no bending the knee for 4 weeks and then i start my physical therpy so one more step to be normal again plenty. so now i have plenty of time to save some money up for the box... im lookin for a roof rack and some nice coil overs...but i just wanted to give you guys an update.... thanks guys |

I had a really bad bout with Sciatica a few years back, and R&R was what the Doctor ordered. I had to lie down 90% of the time, probably because of the Vicodin prescribed for pain management. It's hard to entertain yourself when you can't really do anything (other than P/T).
Movies... I'm no help there (I know, I'm dull). What type of music do you listen to? I've been working of updating my stuff: Reggae (Bet you didn't guess I'd say that!), Jazz (David Sanborn and Paul Hardcastle), and some old school hip hop (Hammer, Beastie Boys, 3rd Bass, Craig Mack and such). |

| Re: knee injury Okay, let's get that post count up:
How's the weather in Lancaster? One of my uncle's used to be stationed up there when he was in the Navy.
Anyway, we've got mild weather today in San Diego, so I'm "in da garage" working on a quick mod that was recently posted in the DIY forum: DIY: Plate Hole Plug |
