New xB owner from Oklahoma!!

I just bought my first xB about 2 months ago. It is an '05 dark blue with cloth interior. I have always wanted an xB and I am very happy to have one. I have to say it is a little discouraging trying to find stuff for them though. I have spent about two weeks trying to find a front spoiler lip and I just don't know where to find one. I have found about 50 of them in NY but with shipping its outrageous! I am in love with my cd changer. I love the color changing display screen. The manual transmission is a bit discouraging but hopefully I can get the hang of it soon ( and before I break it)! If anyone has any suggestions or tips please pass them on. I wanna get my xB looking as pretty as princess ASAP!

Welcome, but I'm kinda confused.

Re: New xB owner from Oklahoma!!

I am not sure yet. I love my car but I am having such a hard time finding what I need to fix it where I live I am not sure it is wise to keep it. I have wanted an xB since I first saw one but living in Oklahoma in the middle of nowhere I have no access to the stuff I need to keep it maintained. I am really at a loss as to what to do. If I could find what I needed to fix it like I want I would love to keep it but I feel I am loosing that battle.

Re: New xB owner from Oklahoma!!

Well, before you consider selling it, why not take a look at the Sponsored Sales forum for the parts you need? You can also put out an APB (aka a "Want To Buy" ad) in the classified section.

Parts aren't too hard to come by, just takes a little research, and a question or two. For instance...

1. Are you looking for an OEM, or aftermarket front lip?

2. What type of maintenance are you referring to? The DIY section has lots of threads on general maintenance - spark plugs, oil change, etc.

3. Personal mods? Again, the DIY forum is a great place to start. Lots of low buck (or no bucks) mods to be found there, I've used many of them myself.

Don't be discouraged, you can find the help you need right here on Club xB.

Now, about that removable seat you have listed...

Re: New xB owner from Oklahoma!!

At this point I am just wanting to find the front spoiler lip. The previous owner cracked it and I would like to replace it. Also the windshield is cracked and I would like to find a new windshield. After this I would be happy for a while. I just hate how bad it looks from just one piece being broken. When I looked up all the specs on it, it said the seat is removable. I have not tried.

Re: New xB owner from Oklahoma!!

Nope, we don't have removable seats like the PT Cruiser does, ours is a fixed unit.

Here's a thought? Try asking about parts in the Southern Region.

Click here---> South - Scion xB Forum

Edit: I see you've already been there, so now just ask away! Good people down there (My Mom has a home in Ada).

Re: New xB owner from Oklahoma!!

I spent about a week trying to figure out which region I was in and then about 2 minutes before you told me I figured it out. I am definitely going to do that though! Thanks!
