New Member saying hi

Hey everyone, just wanted to say hello. I own a 2006 Scion xB and love it. I would like to do a few mods to it and am hoping to get some advice from people on this forum.

My biggest project right now is to replace the existing headlights with after market projector headlights in a black housing. My question is, since the factory headlights have a High & low beam bulb in one, how do you hook up the after market headlights that have the high beam and low beam separate? Are they plug and play and if so, how doe that work with the factory harness?

Welcome! Try browsing through the Lighting section and DIYs to see if there is any info on the headlight conversion allready. Many pople have done it, so i am sure you'll get some usefull input

Thanks for the info.

I checked out the DIY and found a write up on how to do the conversion, however, it did not really explain the wiring, it was more how to remove the headlight and install the other one. It was a nice write up, but I just want some specifics about the wiring and how you can use the existing factory wire harness that is currently plugged into a light bulb that is used as both the high beam and low beam (factory setup) for a headlight that now has two light bulbs that are separate for the high beam and low beam.

I will keep searching and see what I can find.
