Your gas cap was probably just not tightened correctly. Take it off, put it back on and make sure it is threaded correctly. You can buy a code reader at Harbor Freight for $20 or go back to Autozone for theirs. The code reader can clear your codes. Go back and read some of the VSC, TRAC threads and you will see that you are not the only one to have experienced this problem.
