16" 4x100's with tires. 195/55/16 in the front and 205 55 16 in the rear
these are pics from the craigslist post, they are actually more of a forrest green, but im looking to either paint or powedercoat them.
what do you think? thoughts? comments?

also: ill be selling my 18" motgi FF7 black with chrome lip wrapped in Nexen N3000 215/35/28 rubber if anyone wants those. I'll put a F/S ad up soon with photos. |

| Re: New Shoes! . powdercoating help. . . ? thats a good price, just cuz sumone has a cheaper price doesnt mean that its gonna be a better job. I would say take them to a place that specializes in p/c wheels. |

| Re: New Shoes! . powdercoating help. . . ? i know its not a bad price but i know them from back in the day when i did a lot of aircooled VW stuff and they have a reputation in that industry for overpricing the work they do and a slowwwww turn around.
i got the tires taken off them and i might just paint them for now until I figure out the best options for coating
ill hit up blackscionxb and see what he's got.
thanks again everyone.
any thoughts on the wheels in general? i think im going to do them a neon/lime green on my PW box. |

| Re: New Shoes! . powdercoating help. . . ? dood, you will regret paint if you do it. you might as well suck it up and pay the extra to have them powdered. paint flakes and chips sooo easy! i garuntee the paint will prob chip off just putting the tires back on. i used to do powdercoating, and it is so worth the extra $$$$$ imo! |

| Re: New Shoes! . powdercoating help. . . ? oh i know powder is totally worth it. it durable, it doesnt fade, doesnt chip. . all that good stuff. and the pricing is not toooo bad, but if I pay $260 to get em coated green and end up hating it, i'll be pretty bummed.
im thinking ill rattle can them the color i want and then get em powdered if i still like the color in a couple weeks . . like a temporary tattoo.
id rather pay the $40 to have the tires taken off and put back on instead of paying to powder em and end up hating the color after a week.
dtrain - know anything about their pricing? |

| Re: New Shoes! . powdercoating help. . . ? Josh, Andrews is not the cheapest around but I can say that you will be happy with their work. Their turn around time is amazing and their work is flawless. They did my wheels and there was no way you could tell they didn't come that way. Perfect job.
Talk to Sandee or Scott over there. |

| Re: New Shoes! . powdercoating help. . . ? haha, finally some agrees with the green! all it took was a subaru. . 60 isnt bad at all, but it sucks paying MORE than the set of wheels with tires to get them coated. . . oh well |

| Re: New Shoes! . powdercoating help. . . ? kawasaki green!
sooooo i cleaned off all the road tar, goo, and residue from the old balancing weights. . and rattle canned one Acid Green using a Montana Gold Can ("graffiti" paint) just to check the color compared to the darker green they came with.
I KNOW. . painting sucks, especially this kind of paint, im just doing it to check color. . .
thoughts?
