| How played out are the stylings getting? Im about to throw up I think. I had some inquiries about my "Team JDM" group, and people had looked it up on yahoo.com.
Look at this: http://teamjdm.com/
Youve gotta be freaking kidding me. Everything has now become VIP or JDM I think. Now im guilty of it too, because I have a lot of Japanese Domestic Parts, but its getting down right sickening. At least when I say something is JDM, it truely is, and its something I had personally imported usually.
Ah just kills me. Sorry for the rant.

| dude im the same way, dont worry. the only JDM knockoff i have is the bBist cf spoiler, which is getting painted anyway. seeing JDM and ford together makes me want to poop nails. i got:
JDM bB badges (authentic part #'s)
JDM DAMD Lover Soul wheels
JDM Kenstyle Urban kit
JDM Junction Produce medium Fusa
JDM chrome window BOO-BOO's
JDM OEM crystal knobs
JDM OEM non smokers box
JDM Sun power rings, etc...
future mods:
JDM dual beam bB headlights
JDM rear bumper guard
JDM Lighted ignition ring
JDM OEM bB foglights
JDM Kenstyle Urban Foglights
JDM rear view mirror cover
JDM bB steering wheel airbag
etc...
i do JDM styling because its like a great scavenger hunt, and the hard to get results are well worth it. we cant help fads, but when the fad ends, we still did it right

| damn right! ive got the knock off parto (TC Sportline) kit, but i dont claim that to be JDM. ive got knockoff Fab spoiler. ive got true bB AWD rear bumper, rims, tails, spacers, and littler crap. i just hate how EVERYTHING is now JDM. ughhh. it makes me want to throw up. if its not true, dont fake the funk people!

| well long story short, for a time there WERE JDM Cavaliers. Kinda crazy really. Its not total BS. But yea, I hear JDM Mustang and crap a lot in the midwest. I want to smack those people. Then I show them my car, and there like "What is that?" Uggghh. SO FRUSTRATING!

| yea they normally are just USDM with APC crap on them. theres not many of them out there, and i doubt someone would go thru the trouble to get a Cavy imported here. |

| I knew a guy a while back that was HUUUUUGE in the j-body scene (that generation cavalier and sunfire)...but they're are subtle differences betweeen the toyota cavalier in Japan, and the USDM (to us) cavalier here in the states, subtle stuff like the taillights, and I believe the headlights...he actually had a lot of the "JDM" parts on his car and it was pretty clean, its just like the "JDM" civics out there, your average person won't notice something like a little pocket under your a/c vent, or the fact that your interior is black (which with the 6th gen civics, they had black interior where as here in the states, you can only get light grey and dark grey)
It's the same as the bB...people rarely notice the little "JDM" goodies I have here and there...but oh well, I don't really do it to please people, I've been into the Japanese style since my old civic...right now I have:
JDM JCI Sticker
JDM Parking Permit
JDM Non Smokers Box
JDM Window Boo Boos
JDM Crystal A/C Knobs
JDM 1st Gen A/C Console
JDM 1st Gen Headlights
JDM Bumper Pole
JDM Blitz Intake
and a few more that I can't think of...but point is I"ve been doing the "JDM" thing since before it became a fad, and I'll continue to do it b/c I'm not going to let fads kill what i love ("Fast and Furious" can be added to the list)....so until the day i die.....suck my jdm @#$^ =P |

I have the OTG waiting for the xA.
If I get med retired and my xB won't be a daily commuter, plans are for -5 in the rear and -3 up front.
And then, maybe air so I can come a bit closer to those baller xBs in Florida!!!!!!! |

| i had actually posted a similar topic on my car club's forum (team scioNRG):
"Tue Dec 27, 2005 8:02 am Post subject: is JDM the next furby/tickle me elmo/ xbox 360?
not that i EVER mind giving help to anybody but lately out of nowhere everybody and their grandmother is asking me where to get the JDM parts i have and somebody even asked where to buy a set of my Lover Soul wheels for their Blue Onyx Pearl xB. i will always be glad to point somebody to the right direction as far as JDM thinglies go (except my wheels they are SACRED! Razz plus i got the only set available) i just hope its not a fad and people are doing it for the long haul. JDM stuff is NOT cheap and you need to have GOOD connections to get the tru hard to find stuff that nobody knows about. also, i dont need an absolute clone of my car running around Sad. this isnt directed to anybody at all, im just trying to grasp whats going on." |
