| Re: How to get sponsored. its a multiple of things. such as, and not limited to,
your vehicle and vision/style
asking
being noticed
networking
help in enhancing the business
commitment to sponsorer, i.e. manadatory carshow/events, to get their product and name out into the public/masses.
its like a marriage.
you can ask/recieve for either "partial" or "full" sponsorship. this will depend on you, and the sponsorer.
you may want to get a resume/portfolio of your vehicle, and how the sponsorer can benifit from your assets, and your commitment to the sponsorer.
the whole thing is that, do you believe in the product that you are advertising. |

| Re: How to get sponsored. Sponsorships work different ways depending on the company.
Some will require you to pay up front for the products and if you get magazine coverage they will refund all or part of the amount you paid.
Some will give you the parts at cost and you do the install.
Some will require you to attend a minimum number of shows, not always in your local area. You will be required to pay the entry fee which can get really pricey at some of the larger shows.
Some companies will require you to sign a contract and take a credit card number from you, if you don't complete the contract they will charge your card for the parts/services.
All sponsors will require you to run vinyl on your ride with their company logo on it. Some will require you to run LARGE vinyl on your ride, others are happy with a 12 inch on the side windows. Most often you must pay for the vinyl.
If you're not going into hard core competition with your car or you get a killer deal that works out for you avoid any sponsorships and just pay for the stuff yourself. Just my opinion. |

| Re: How to get sponsored. I tryed the carsposerships.com thin and it was a waste of $90. That was the app fee. Then when it came down to it I was going to order somthing and I asked for a price quote, they refused to give me one because I wasn't going to buy with in 2 days. I needed to get a price so I could budget it in. I was young and stupid. We all have to learn somehow. |
