Yeah, i was hell of amazed when I drove from the Bay area to Sacramento back down to Santa Cruz, then back to Sacramento one weekend, thats when i got the 388miles and that was even going up and through the mountains to get to Santa Cruz but coming down was a blast, just left the car in neutral and just coasted all the way down the hill, about 3-4 miles with no gas usage LOL.

Re: Gas mileage experiment:31 to 42 mpg! Details inside..

I average between 33.5 to 35 MPG in mine.
I generally shift at right before 3k, and I'm nice and easy because it keeps me calmer, when I would normally tend to rage a bit.
I fill with hand pressure the lowest I can get it without recieving the "vibration/wheezing" sound from the handle, to ensure I get all the gas I'm paying for.
I have never done the coasting thing though, and I do have some nice big hills to utilize for that.
I check my MPG every time I fill, so I will report back at next tank.

I have also heard the evaporation tip and keep my tank full, and fill at 1/2, except on road trips when time is of importance.

Until next time,

Peace1
