They're all hitting that same genericness they did in the mid 90's. Just when you thought they'd actually have sparked a new era, they come up with the same old crap.
The designers are working pretty hard to get our attention, and while it's working in some aspects, there's A LOT they still need to work on.
There are WAY too many things for me to point out that I would like to see changed about the vehicles; even down to the logos. Call me picky, but if I had was a design major, I'd start drafting up some ideas and see if they sell. |

There is now way the UAW will take them to the cleaners, the UAW needs Ford more than Ford needs them. There are thousands of unemployed workers who would go to work at Ford in a heartbeat.
Dion go check out the Ford Flex website, they already have marketing brochures out. Pretty much what you see is what you get minus minor aero changes for wind noise and mileage.
It will have two engine options for the 2010 model year. One NA six cylinder and another twin turbo six cylinder. No plans for a V8 in the first two years of production.
Ford is working hard to streamline costs and using similar drivetrains where ever possible. Most of the big three are working to follow Toyota's strategies. |

| Re: 1st Gen xB Impostor i think it looks like a magnum stationwagon. lol.
it might look nice BUT I no longer trust Ford, Chevy or any GM vehicle. give me a 1988 Buick those things were built to last. I have had an 96 escort, 91 crown vic, 88 f150(actually not that bad), 2001 grand am, 1991 grand am, 1991 pontiac 6000, 1993 buick regal, 2001 Malibu, 1996 blazer and out of all of them the F150 and the blazer had the least amount of problems, but when they went, they went. all the other ones had little $50 problems that happened over and over again and the replacement part laster just longer than the warrenty. i like the scion Xb, it is so simple and seems so reliable. we also have a Seinna and i see us with these cars long after the loan is paid off. |

They followed the trends consumers wanted and updated the station wagon and combined it with a little crossover flair.
By 2010 80% of Ford's lineup will be new compared to 2004 or 2005. I forget which. |

Freakin ignorant hicks.....I really hope you're not serious.
Anyways....Not really feeling the design. Ford's designs just have never really done it for me. Like Boom said they keep reosrting back to the same ol' crap. Boring/ ugly designs that look cheesey IMO.

She's been playing around with some configurations - she's pretty serious about it. |

I forget which. | My own personal reason for detesting Ford: A once owned Lincoln that needed a transmission rebuild every year, and a Volvo that needed a new turbo within six months of being purchased brand new. We still own the Volvo and it's now sooper fast, but it still pisses me off at least once monthly with a broken $300.00 (or more) part. I have never owned a car more reliable than my xB. |
