Another event that is in the works for Day 1 earlier in the day:
Cant give alot of details as Im still waiting on confirmation, but it looks promising should know in the next few days

Lets just say, it involves Peachtree street, a Parade, 100K spectators, television, the color green, shamrocks, leprechuans and a bunch of Cool Scions!!!!!!!!

More events and details to follow, but this is giving everone lots of time to get schedules coordinated, were looking for a huge turnout

HOTEL MOTEL INFO FOR THE SHOWS!!!!!!!

These places I found are right about half way between the two day events about 15-20 minutes drive between the 2

All of the following rates were taken off of www.hotels.com and can be booked and canceled within 24 hours if something comes up, you can book online at hotels.com, the individual websites or call the hotel/motels

Rates range between 41.00 and 89.00 per night between the places

So here we go
This 1st place is not the cheapest, but it is where Bridezila and I stayed for the Backstage/Mall of GA Family affair event last spring. It was very cool, great rooms very convinient to restaurants, the interstate etc. and offers a complimentary HOT breakfast buffet (eggs, bacon sausage, grits, hash browns etc etc etc) and it was pretty decent for a FREE breakfast, met my expectations as a chef!
Pretty good bonus, the other places just offer the samo samo continental breakfast

Bridezila and I will most likely be staying here

There are the convinient room options, there are others like hotels and so on but alot more money, all these places have free parking, and plenty of room to detail cars and so on.

All of these places are very close to "Malibu Grand Prix" and Im going to try to set something up with a racing/games, food package for Friday Night since Saturday AM, PM and Sunday Day are tied up with events now. Cheryl & I will stay at the Hotel Friday and Sat PM

The Scions WILL be rolling in the Annual St Paddys Day Parade down Peachtree St on Saturday AM on the 15th. In front of 100K people, TV crews, dignitaries from around the world etc............
I spoke with the director today and they had to get clearance from one of the Major sponsors (GM), but all is good and they are exited to have us.

I will be meeting with them next week,as well as SET

On other updates, we should have flyers out by early Jan

We are working on logistics, this is getting to be a big show, and while the dealers are sponsoring, we are looking at bigger venues for the shows,

We are working on Pre parties for Friday PM, After parties for Sat PM, Sunday Brunch

Please check out the previous post about the "Drury Inn" and get the rates, $64.99 e-rates) we are hoping to make this the "Official Show Hotel" they have 100+ rooms

I will also set up a registry in the coming weeks so we have an Idea what to expect

IT IS NOW 100%%%%% OFFICIAL!

The Scions will be rolling in the St Paddys Parade!!!!!!

As an added bonus at the end of the parade the Scions who chose to stay, will be parked at Underground and put on display for the public and we can all attend the festivities at Underground for a few hours, that will include restaurants, entertainment, vendors, activities and a live U2 cover band!!!!

Pretty cool, details to follow!!!!!

The dealers are working hard on the shows as well

Rules & Regulations
Atlanta St. Patrick's Parade, Inc. reserves the right to refuse entry into the parade of any signs, symbols or activities that it considers to be in poor taste or in any way objectionable. To be certain that the signs, symbols, or activities you intend to display are acceptable, you may want to secure the approval of Atlanta St. Patrick's Parade, Inc. in advance.
Dignity will be preserved by the enforcement of all rules and regulations as outlined herein, and officials will be strict in their interpretation thereof.
1. There will be no objects thrown into the crowd from floats or other vehicles. All objects must be passed out by marchers walking along the edges of the crowd. This is a safety issue enforced by the Atlanta Police Department as well as Atlanta St. Patrick's Parade, Inc.
2. Participant acknowledges the risk of bodily injury and/ or property damage inherent in the operation of a parade. As such, participant accepts all consequences resulting from bodily injury and/ or property damage and waives any potential recourse against the parade operators, sponsors or any other affiliated entities.
3. THE CONSUMPTION OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES OR THE DISTRIBUTION THEREOF IN THE PARADE MARSHALING AREA OR ALONG THE PARADE ROUTE BY ANY PARTICIPANTS IS STRICTLY & ABSOLUTELY PROHIBITED. VIOLATION OF THIS PROVISION IN ANY FORM OR DEGREE WILL RESULT IN IMMEDIATE REMOVAL OF THE ENTIRE UNIT NO MATTER WHAT POINT IN THE LINE-UP OR PARADE - NO FEES WILL BE RETURNED - NO EXCEPTIONS.
4. Unless specific consent of Atlanta St. Patrick's Parade, Inc. is given, no entry or routine will be allowed to slow or stop the forward progress of the parade.
5. No offensive or lewd presentation or representation will be allowed. Any inappropriate or improper dress, conduct or behavior will not be tolerated. Exhibits and music must not be in bad taste or otherwise arranged so as to cause harm or give offense to spectators or other participants in the Parade.
Decisions on the application and interpretation of these rules and regulations are in the exclusive purview of the directors of Atlanta St. Patrick's Parade, Inc.

45 lucky Scions will Roll in the Atlanta St. Patricks Day Parade down Peachtree Street in front of over 400K spectators, television and various dignitaries. Atlantas St Paddys day parade is ranked #6 by USA today as one of the top St Paddys Day events in the United States. Cars can have riders and we can have “Walkers” around the cars as well, but unfortunately we are limited to “up to 45 vehicles” due to the size of the Parade. Since it is a St Paddys Day Event, selected Envy Green RS 3.0’s or Custom Scion Green Paint jobs will lead the Scion Procession. Following the Parade the Parade vehicles will be provided a parking deck at Underground Atlanta to be put on display for the public while the owners can enjoy Underground Atlanta, with Vendors, food, drink, entertainment, including a U2 Coverband. If you are interested in rolling in the parade, we are having a contest for entries of those coming. Please send a photo of your Scion, a brief description of yourself, your club affiliation, your mods, and a short 1-2 paragraph statement describing your “Passion For Scions” This contest will be judged by officials at SET, and prominent Scion managers in the Southeast region. *****and for you shopaholics out there "Mall of GA" is the 2nd largest mall in the USA 2nd only to Mall of America and its right down the street from the dealer

Definately a possibility, but there is a furthest distance at both shows!!!

Im not sure though, I know we have someone coming in from Tulsa OK as well, but they wont be staying for the Sunday show I think

With just 13 days left until the St Paddys shows I thought I would post some “Fun Facts”
WITH THE HOPES THAT ANYONE THAT IS UNDECIDED ON COMING WILL DECIDE.
I was online today checking all the sites this show is posted on and here is what I found as well as what I know

The St Paddys Shows will have 10 Southern States Represented: Georgia, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana, Arkansas, Texas, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee that I know for sure are coming

There will be 120+ Scions (Mild & Wild) in the Shows and close to 300 ppl

There will be 5 Scion Car Clubs Represented: Scikotics, Scinergy, Evolution, NRG & tC Street Performance as well as individuals with no club affiliation.

Michael Kennedy & Others: from SET will be in attendance the entire weekend

The Head of Marketing for Scion Corporate in California will be flying in and be in attendance

The Head of Scion Accessories for Scion Corporate in California will be in attendance

SET will have a Professional video crew here the entire weekend capturing the events as well as a couple official show photographers.

Photos of this event will be published in Toyota Monthly Magazine as well as others.

We will more than likely have "other" celebrity Scion People and special Guests in attendance, (still working on scheduling)
• There will be a LIVE band at the Saturday night Glow off & Show and a Dj at the Sunday show plus FREE FOOD at both
• There will be tons of Racing and spinouts at the Friday night meet & Greet
• There will be lots of Vendors at Both Shows, including NOPI
• There will be over 400K spectators at the St Paddys day Parade
• The Atlanta St Paddys Parade is ranked #6 in the nation by USA Today
• There will be over 70 awards “trophies & Medals” handed out over the weekend
• There will be over 70 quarts of Car Wash detergent and spray detailer used over the show weekend
• There will be over 70 yards of tape used to tape off the noses of cars by people coming in from out of state
• There will be lots of Raffle Prizes and a small auction of prizes with all proceeds to benefit the “Cruisin For St Judes” Childrens Hospital Fundraiser
• THERE WILL BE A TON OF SCION LOVE!!!!!!!!!
