Re: Winter driving in Chi-town help! if you're rocking aftermarket rims in the winter you better wash those things like...every other day. salt eats the hell out of clear coats on rims...i'm saying this from experience had a set of rims turn to sh*t over one winter because i didn't know any better (and i didn't have stockers)

Re: Winter driving in Chi-town help! I would def say put snow tires on stock rims if you have aftermarkets, otherwise put snow tires on whatever you have. They make 110% difference. I learned the hard way after I rolled my box last year. Thank god for no damage. Dont ask me how that worked out. I have pictures for those who are non beleivers

Re: Winter driving in Chi-town help! We use Falken 912's on the tC. seems to work pretty well. but stockies are the best option. go grab some at a junkyard.

Re: Winter driving in Chi-town help! The salt here in Chicago trashed my rims, all of the cheap chrome is peeling off. A friend told me after I get them fixed to put vaseline on them for protection in the winter.

Re: Winter driving in Chi-town help! yea, that wonderful salt does wonders to our cars. thats why my xB is parked for the winter. no door dings, no door rust, no broken windshields, all the OEM lights work.....
