Question Lowered XB in Wisconsin Winter?

Anyone living in Wisconsin/Minnesota/Illinois with a slightly lowered XB? I'm close to ordering a 2010 XB and am considering adding the TRD springs on from the factory but I want to make sure that my XB doesn't turn into a snow plow in the winter.

Any feedback appreciated

Re: Lowered XB in Wisconsin Winter?

i live in fargo, nd and i had trd springs on my 1st gen xb. it kinda sucked, but i lived on a road that did not get plowed much. but as far as getting stuck, hasn't happened yet i just put on air bags to help with my situation though. i guess i just kinda stayed off roads less traveled and i made it through fine. haha

HAHAHA, ok but back on topic. I have been driving lowered since day 1, never had a problem. You will be fine.

Re: Lowered XB in Wisconsin Winter?

I have a 06 gen1 on S-techs and planning on going back to stock for the winter. In years past, I have pushed snow with the front and back bumpers and thats with stock suspension and the factory wheels. I know that other people in the club that I am in also go back to "stock" for the winter. It is a bit of work changing parts for the seasons in the midwest, but I think that it is worth it to keep your aftermarket parts and wheels free of salt/winter damage. Otherwise, you can do as metioned before and buy a winter beater.

You KNOW what your winters are like. I live at the bottom end of lake michigan and with as much snow that we get from the lake, There are times that my box would not go. Some snow is ok but when you get 16 to 24 " in 1 night, not good.
