new york club xb meets?

exactly - i have a '69 nova with HUGE slicks and pizza cutters on the from and ready to roll (cage) but the engine was scraped for the last time when the cylinder head craked and my dad didn't want to pay for another engine . . . .so it sits in the garage with all the sponsor stickers and wheelie bars.

Im pretty sure we'll get there but you gotta keep wanting to get a crew together - i did and i believe we are finally a serious entity but we've never met yet

Not that long I sold some Z28 2.02 heads, I would have traded....
Glad to hear there are some young guys are still interested in drag racing. There is more there than most people understand & lots to learn.

yea - i think it would amazing to rebuild that car - but not for drag anymore, would like to roll the streets with it

and those real wheels are never gonna see any road - magnesium and not legal

Are you are any other Scion forums besides clubxb? There is a lot of life in NY/NJ area outside of this forum and I am not going to lie the Northeastern section on here is VERY quiet.

There are quite a few weekly, bi-weekly and monthly type meets that don't get posted on here because there is very little traffic in this section of clubxb.

Check out ScionLife, that is another huge Scion forum or there are the seperate Scion clubs in the area as well, like ScioNRG (Team ScioNRG - Home), tons of members in NY and plenty of meets/events going on.

After a while the center of the wheel cracks as do the lug seats -very badly. Aluminum absorbs the shock much better but needs special care.
The real mag, if old, should be X rayed for cracks. When they fail, it's big.

BangorXB, I have seen some of the best gen 1 XBs in Manhattan.

There is a meet at Rockland Toyota this Sunday July 12th. Roll up starting at 10:30 am. Judging for best mods as well. Come one come all.

this weekend coming up there is two - one in spencerport NY and the other is in Lancaster NY, lancaster is battle at the border so there will be tons of cars there - thats also on sunday

hey guys and gals. I am the NY vice-president of team scioNRG. We have weekly meets in staten island, westchester and long island. We also have larger monthly meets that change location every month.
Team scioNRG is the biggest car club on the east coast.
