| STL is part of my region, KC region.
The dealer should be able to estimate the arrival date of your car within a couple of days once it actually leaves the port. Until then they really have no idea. Everything depends on how long it takes to outfit the car at the port. That can be anywhere from 3 to 30 days on an RS3.0. Now, I haven't seen one take more than 5 days at the port yet, but that may change and become longer as they have more of them to do.
Sorry, I looked at the regional allocation and don't see Newbold on the list. That probably means they are hiding their RS3 from the other dealers so they don't get calls asking for a trade on it. That happens fairly often with rare cars like these. So I can't give you an exact date either.
Trades on the RS3s probably won't happen unless it is an automatic for a manual. Dealerships just won't give them up usually.
Midori, PM me or post your dealership and weather you're getting an auto or manual and I'll see if I can find something out.

| I went to Newbold Toyota in Ofallon Illinois today, right outside of STL, and they had their board updated. Which really isnt anything special considering they update it everyday....
The RS 3.0 is on the board with my name after it. It shows the car as being PT.
It is at the port.
I also found out why my car cost $17800 vs $17680. It will have floormats which are $120.
Alex,
That is strange that they are hiding it---But they have got one coming. I was told that it could be here sooner than I think!
Now I am excited.
Really excited!
With in one week of ownership I will have the front bumper 3M protected and my windows tinted.
I will then start asking local stl custom shops about HID kits.
First three mods I'm gonna do. I really want an HID kit. I want lights that will blind, well almost, blind people. I dont want to hurt anyone, I just want to be able to see everything in front of me.
The xb will officially be my wifes car---But we share, ya know. She just sold her 04 accord lx v6 for 18k and that covered the bill for the xb.
I also have an 06 civic Si on order from an STL dealer. Its build date is 03/18/06.
I'm going to be on a modding frenzy this summer.
I am so glad we bought these two cars as opposed the $42k highlander hybrid my wife wanted so so badly. We were so close to getting that car. UGH!
That is the same car her mom drives in Japan-And it is a great commuter-well its called the toyota cougar there--but too much money for one boring car. |

| The dealership called today. We are about to pick up the car. They are tinting the front windows as we speak.
It was good news to hear today since she found out this morning she is going to require surgery on her broken arm. She has been nursing a broken arm for about 9 weeks now, the doctors thought it would heal naturally even though there was about an inch and half space between the 2 bones! They finally decided that wasn't the case and they will have to put a rod down her arm. Anyway I digress.... good news is my wife gets to bring the baby home tonight, about 2 weeks earlier than we expected. |

Awesome! Congrats! Also, sorry to hear about the arm, but I'm sure it will mend quickly.

| Still no RS 3.0 here.
Goodness!
I call them twice a week and they have nothing to tell me other than it will be here soon.
Newbold Toyota Fairview Heights Illinois.
They update info on their board everyday and as of the 24th it showed port.
I read in another forum, either here or scionlife, that RS 3.0's were seen in on train in KC headed to St.Louis dealers last week.
Anybody know when St.Louis or better yet Newbold will get it in?
This sharing one car with my wife is really getting old, plus I am really wanting this xb.
Also, how good is the Alpine stereo in the XB RS 3.0. I have read many forums where people say its a good stereo.
What is good? Anyone know wattage? Does it blast or is it just better than OK for your typical factory stereo?
Thanks

| Kevin, I empathize with you. My husband and I are sharing a car, and I NEED my 3.0! My dealership can't tell me squat, so I'm just waiting, and hoping, and waiting some more. I hope you get your car soon!

| my last msg from my dealer says mine should be here between 3/7 to the 13th. Do either of you have your vin# yet? Thats the key when you have that seems they are working on it. Keep bugging your dealers though. I think when this is all said and done im going to write a letter to the district manager. If your not getting response from them start calling the managers and see if they can put a rush on it. That the only way i got mine going. |

| Well, mine appeared in the "Available Inventory" list on the dealer's website last week, and now it's gone - so I hope that means they have the VIN and have actually assigned it to me. I will call tomorrow and ask for the VIN and a clearer idea of when it's coming in. If they don't have the VIN I'm going to ask them why it seemed to be listed as part of their inventory, then suddenly removed. They've said time and time again that I'm the only person who has ordered a 3.0 from them, and the other two local dealers have NO orders for them - so hopefully that WAS mine, and it's on the way. |

| Well in 2 days it will be exactly 1 month since it's been in port.I got the same story that it should be here anytime between 3/7-13th I am just totally disappointed in the scion dealerships I guess having pure pricing means 0 customer service it's really sad that we all have to keep asking almost begging our dealerships for information I think we are still Paying them for the cars a little consideration would be nice. oh well I guess thats just an old fashion thought.THis makes it 1 1/2 months since I ordered the thing...just sad |

| I just talked to my salesperson - he said he had literally just checked on the status of my car, and it's 1 day from port. He said it should be at the dealership in 5 to 7 days. For those who know about these things, what port is used for a car headed for New Orleans? |

He told me it was in portland did u get a VIN? I think if grizzly see this he can tell you or maybe try email/pm him. This is what my dealer sent me last week
Brian,
Good news! The region has taken hold of this situation and have expedited these orders that are already reserved. Our other inquiry to the port though already got your car into freight status today. The VIN # is JTLKTxxxxxxxxxxxxx so you can use this to get insurance setup for your delivery which should only be a few more weeks at most. In a few days the status will update and give me a more accurate timeframe that we can expect this. I am not sure if Scion will send something out for new car owners for the delay

| I love the color, but I don't like how they jipped people of the cool color-matching seats. Those cheapskates! lol |
