new owner from vancouver bc

Hi guys,

just purchased a 2005 XB camouflage color 5 speed. Purchased it from Washington and in the middle of the import process to get it registered in BC Canada.

Mods planned are CARPUTER, ALPINE 1DIN deck under neath the climate controls knobs, some minor speaker enhancements and maybe a small sub or 2.

also doing a paint job as mine is semi trashed as well as have a webastco sunroof 700 installed.

Had a question for you guys (already used search feature =) ), do you know of any wreckers in Washington, Oregon, or Montanna that are common to have Xb first gens in? I need some odds and ends on my scion... dont want to give my money to the stealership.

Great buy. I did the single DIN relocation and that was a little bit of a pain but it is overall an easy and cheap unique mod. Welcome to the site by the way.

I was thinking of doing a carputer but I am probably just going to play with integrating one of my two laptops into the car because I want to get gauges without buying the pods/gauges and they have the programs out there where you just plug into your car using a cable and a program and it gives you all of your readings as the car's computer sees them.

Thanks

I have a program that does that. My suggestion is when buying the OBDii connector, buy has a high refresh rate. I bought a cheap one for like $30 and only get about 1 refresh per second, no no use for the RPM guauge and speed.

i'd post pics but my post count is too low
