| new Box man i just bought a 06, with 31k on it. its a dark blue.
i live in maine, and it doesnt seem like scion sold as many up here as they did in other states.
when i went looking for a new car, i could only find 6 1st gen xb's for sale at dealerships in all of maine!
but thats fine with me. it seems every where i go i find people who havent seen a xb before.
i will have a second child in 8 months, so it was time to get the wife a new, safe, all-around good car.
the Xb fit the bill. she loves how it drives. it gets great gas milage(27mph at highway speed with the ac on!) and it has tons of room inside.
i have some blue LEDs im gonna install. and i bought some custom fit seat covers.
i want to get a SRI, but im gonna have to go cheap. ive seen the $50 knock-off SRI's and will buy one of them soon.
i hope to buy a spoiler in a few months, and i may get a set of those tint things that you put over the rear lights.(i would just buy a set of cooler lights, but money is tight)
im happy to find a funky, slightly sporty and practical car that is made by toyota(relaible) and that is affordable.
oh, have anyone else had to explaine to someone that it is not a mini van?
i tell them, "it has no 3rd row seat, and the paper work says its a wagon"
the bottom line is, a mini van is NOT cool, and the XB IS!!! |

| Re: new Box man i just found a armrest on ebay that has storage space in it. its kinda pricey, $120. but it would be nice to have.
i would also like to get some eyelids.
does any one know if you can get cruise control added if your xb didnt come with it? would it cost me a ton? i really wonder why in this day and age it didnt come with it from the factory. i mean, its got AC, tilt, CD, ABS, TCS and no cruise! its like someone at scion was asleep the day they were deciding what to put on the base model. "and tim, you make sure the cruise gets added" said the scion president. while tims at the corner chair snoring away.
still, scions biggest mistake so far was to do a total redisgn of the 1st gen xb.
while the new one is nice, it doesnt have some of the qualities that make the 1st gen a great car. the larger engine reduces MPG(i feel the 1st gen has enough power) and making the car 1' longer and much rounder make the perportions not as nice as the 1st gen. just my opinion. the 2nd gen does seem to sell well. |

| Re: new Box man I just got my box in June. Some but not a whole lot of them here in Kentucky. I will say I love my 05. The newer ones aren't as different and their gas mileage isn't nearly as good. I'm quite pleased with mine to put it lightly. |

Welcome to the site, all of you!
Adam, you can install cruise control; as I imagine you've probably already found out. One of our club members did it. If you still haven't had any luck finding one shoot me a pm & I can find out where he got it & who makes it. (He did the install himself.)
If you're looking for a nice set of overlay's try BlueBatMobile's Custom Vinyl Overlays: Pictures by BlueBatmobile2005 - Photobucket
