Daytime running lights?

Hey guys i just got my xbg2 last week and was just curious, do our cars really have no daytime running lights? also which hid kit have you guys gone with for your projectors? thanks a bunch!!

No we don't have daytime running lights. Alot of people go with MobileHIDs. If you search the Vendor sales part of the forum you will be able to find other vendors with better pricing.

I believe there is a universal kit for running your headlights as DRLs. Canadian owners have to do this. I just added a relay and switch to have them on my Gen1.

Why do those reduce the low beam light?

I'm running my DRL's at 10Volts instead of 12+ by wiring them throuhg the resistor. Better for the bulb's lifespan.

thanks for the replys i like the fact that we don't have them makes us stand out from the other new cars! just wanted to make sure i wasn't missing anything.

Hi PCH. I just got my gen1 xb. Can you explain a little bit more about the headlights?

What do i need in order to comply with the law and how can i check that on my xb?

I don't think there is a law regarding DRL in US. There is in Canada but i'm not from there. May want to state you location in profile so you can get help from those who are local.
