found someone that works at a toyota, and the price on stuff is basicly cut in half. off the top of my head, the floor mats 23 bucks, the arm rest 43. the foglights 123. and thats all i can remeber off the top of my head |

| Yes, they can be fully refundable. It depends on the exact contract you get (and it should be outlined in the materials you received about the contract), but that is one of the main things that sells these.
Xbkansas, I can't tell you for sure if your guy was yanking you around or not, but the contracts through Toyota Financial (Toyota Extra Care) have been fully refundable for quite a while.

| is 100% against the covenant. Remember, Pure Price means that the parts are available to EVERYBODY at the SAME PRICE. Despite the fact that I lost a TON of business to the Internet when I was a Parts Guy here, I stuck to the Pure Price model on all Scion accessories. If there is a dealer out there selling these parts at wholesale or whatever I really wouldn't count on them being a Scion dealer forever.

| I got 7/100,000 for $1465 at dealer and it covers EVERYTHING with $0.00 deductible. It will be 7 years before I put 100,000 on it believe me.

| Re: 7/100,000 mi Warranty I got a 7 year /100000 for 1465.00 w/ 0 deductible and I just got the pamphlet in the mail that says i have 30 days to cancel for a full refund. The dealer told me that it covers everything including the radio or the engines computer. IS this BS or what - I wanted to keep it - but Im thinking now that maybe it is not worth it. CV boots and axle joints do not cost 1465.00 to replace. If thats all the "extra" coverage im getting . plus there is no additional labor if you get it done at the same time as the Clutch.
I bought it used sp it also came with toyota and scion 7 yr/ 100000 mile powertrain warranty. anyone think I am just sticking it to myself on this or what - my only mods are Air Itake, headers, and exhaust - all from greddy - I did all the labor myself |

| Re: 7/100,000 mi Warranty I say it's definitely worth it. Mine's already paid for itself. And I still have 80,000 miles or 6 yrs to go on the warranty! Absolutely worth the peace of mind, I say. |

| Re: 7/100,000 mi Warranty I got the 3 free oil changes too - I found it in the back of the owners manuel. with a place for service records also. I guess i agree on having the peace of mind - but on my budget that 1465.00 can be very meaningful as well. Besides the fact that since I bought it used i have a 7 year 100K mile powertrain warranty already. Im not sure if there is anything even on or in the car that would cost more than 1465.00 if and when the used scion 7yr / 100k warranty is needed. Thank you for your input - guess it is better to have too much protection than not enough. |

| Re: 7/100,000 mi Warranty Im not sure - I tried reading as much of their legal mumbo jumbo as i could. granted I studied business law for 2 straight years !!- most of that shiznit did not make sense. but it did say something of work performed by anyone other than an authorized toy/ scion dealer would void the warranty- wor kdone by the owner ( you ) you just needed the receipt for the parts you put on. go figure. |

| Re: 7/100,000 mi Warranty I know this isn't an xb but shoot, try replacing your turbo engine, realigning your rear end, replacing your front windshield and their was more thing I had to do to my beetle all in 1 year w/out warrenty ooh replace all tires! she pretty much ripped me off b/c the girl new about its problems and didnt bother saying anything about it she didnt use the right oil so thats what made the engine go.The engine light was actually on when we bought it and we asked her about it and she was like oh that always comes on.That should of told us something but oh well live and learn a little, right? This was actually my first beetle never buy a used car unless you have it inspected!(Im sure you probably know that by now)no matter how good of a deal it is.But anyways Im so glad I have warrenty now though b/c just like your a/c cost you 3500 I wouldn't beable to afford that my mom helped me with all my other car expenses but since I got rid of the beetle she won't help at all b/c she doesnt like these cars/boxes but oh well lifetime warrenty rules out!I just wish car repairing wasn't so costly,Im pretty sure we all wish that

| Re: 7/100,000 mi Warranty Well I think the general co sensus is to keep the warranty - I had trouble with my VW too - bought it used. manifold went out, turbo went out, timing belt and pulley / tensioner went most recently. oh and the gas tank. everything was covered under the 24000 mile warranty except for the Timing Belt - oh and the tune up to go with it. 1100 bucks including the 200 dollar tune and oil change.
I should know from m experience with my VW it is better to be safe than sorry. |

| Re: 7/100,000 mi Warranty I think your right it is a toyota - so it should be good for a couple of hundred thousand miles! One of my other cars was a Honda Civic - w/ warranty - never used it - ran fine for over 200K miles - so good I sold it to a friend who I see often. So you know it was a car I could trust.
maybe when the waranty expires - Ill be making so much mor emoney that the 1500 dollars for the warranty won't mean as much. |

-Alex | if you buy it at parts counter pure price goes out the window. half the time it's more expensive other times cheaper. o have a parts guy hookup and get 10-30% off any toyota part |

It's still against the covenant if you sell posted Scion accessories at anything other than the Pure Price.
I'm not saying it doesn't happen, I'm just saying it isn't compliant.
