2010s

I just heard from my dealer the 2010s should be in around the 24th of July. Any confirmation or other word on this?

I just asked the local dealer about ordering a 2010 and they said maybe, as if they won't order any until the 2009's are sold. Does that seem odd? I'm guessing they want to sell me an 09 for the same price.

Actually, that is exactly what the rep I live chatted with said, that the arrival of the 2010s is dependent on what the dealerships have leftover. I also felt that it was because there is no price change, so they want to get rid of the 'o9s first. My dealer said that mine should be here the 24th. I had told him what I wanted months ago. So, the first one is mine!

I misread your post. No, they can order before they are out of the 09s. My dealer did. Fortunately my dealer does not have any 09s left on the lot.

The local Scion dealership has two 09's in stock. I guess I should make up my mind on color before I go asking for them to order a 2010

The dealership was trying to sell me on a $500 protective coating, anyone heard of this and is it really worth it?

I used to sell cars. What this is, is basically a wax job. It is worth about $25. Do not buy it!

I am waiting on a BSP as well!

If the car has already has the Pioneer base stereo, the upgrade price is $449

If the car does not have a stereo, then the price is $710

Well, since the radio is put in at the dealership, I am not sure what you mean by that? In putting down my choices, it was either the Pioneer or the Alpine.

I meant the if the car you are buying does not have a radio (apparently some don't)

The price of the Alpine deck is $710

If the car already has the base Pioneer deck, then to upgrade to the Alpine is $449.

This is just the info I was given when I spoke with a Scion rep. I know it seems odd that a car would not come with a radio, but it is what it is.

That is what I am saying. All xbs arrive at the dealership without a radio (just the speakers are installed at the factory). So the radio is installed at the dealership, after the customer tells them what system they want.
