Re: 2010s

Looks good.

My 2010 isn't here yet They said 12th to 17th....ordered last week. They had a few 09's on the lot. Ended up finding one "fresh off the boat" with kinda what I wanted. Not really excited about getting the "16 alloys"
I traded in my "clunker" (96 Dodge grand caravan) $3500.

I'm thinking of installing the Kenwood DNX6140 Radio/GPS.

Thumbs up Re: 2010s

The dealership would not let me take delivery of my 2010 XB until they got reimbursed (cash for clunkers) so I did the only logical thing and bought a 2001 Audi TT Quattro Friday

The XB is cancelled, I wish I could afford both but I can't. If anyone lives in Wisconsin, Smart Motors in Madison should have now have a 2010 BSP Manual XB available.

Re: 2010s

The onlyreason I purchased a new car was the "cash for clunkers. If "they" had insisted that they got reimbursed before...I would have walked.

They are not allowed to do that according to the cars.gov faq (Contingency Questions Section). The forum isn't letting me to post a link to the site, but you can get there by going to www .cars.gov/faq#category-04

The dealers I have been talking to about my xb have been misinformed or misleading regarding many cash for clunkers details. It's a good idea for people to go to the cars.gov website and read all the faq's before going to the dealership.

Another common misunderstanding I came across is them trying to charge sales tax on the pre-rebate amount when giving me a quote. It's up to the individual state if sales tax is charged on the price before or after any trade-ins/rebates/incentives. In North Carolina we have a 3% highway use tax on the sale of vehicles, and the clunker rebate should be taken into account before the tax is calculated.

Re: 2010s

Wish I could of used the cash for clunkers, but I had a 94 honda accord.

It was a clunker all right, but the standards are too tight.

Re: 2010s

Hello. I just bought a 2010 xB. I love it!

I would like to add interior blue lights under dash, in cup holders and in rear.

Any help would be appreciated.

For under the dash, what kind of light can be used (LEDs?) and where do you plug them in?

The 2010 is exactly the same as the 08-09. The only difference is the stereo options.

Mods on my silver 2010 XB:

-Alpine premium stereo with Nav upgrade
-19" TRD rims
-OEM stereo system
-Spoiler
-Silverstar lowbeams and turn signal bulbs
-blu logic hands free system

Oops. I meant OEM security system

Re: 2010s

New owner of a white 2010 here. Bought it a bit over a month ago and loving it. My wife looks at me sideways for cleaning it so much, but too bad.

We were originally hoping for a silver one but it didn't work out. The white is a LOT of work to keep clean, but I'm loving it anyway. No mods on it yet, but I highly recommend the cargo liner for anyone constantly transporting dirty junk. We went camping the other week, and that leftover glob of dirt in the trunk was gone with just a paper towel swipe.

I'm sure all of the 2nd gen owners out there get the same response, but I really love the leg room. Having a 6' 3" (190cm) friend sit behind the driver and have them say "you don't need the seat THAT far up" is great.

welcome to the CLUB!

White is a cool color for the xB. I have been washing my regularly as well. Enjoy!

I have put off figuring out how to do the interior blue LEDs, but it is still on my mind. I may break down and pay the dealership to do it.

I am also looking forward to getting a roof rack system.

I have had my xB for about a month now. I am still totally in love with her.

I am loving my box! I have a question regarding the alpine. Is there a way to get new skins for the display? I am really tired of the screen!
