| Get at least a gig of ram maybe even 2. Also when picking out a processor dont let the bloated numbers of Intel fool you. I had a Intel Celeron 2.6 processor that was slow as balls. Im running a AMD Anthlon 64 1.8 processor that blows it out of the water. Also AMD runs cooler then intel. Then the other things are the basics unless your into gaming then look into a nice video card. Go to newegg.com for computer stuff...they sell everything to build your own computer or you can buy a prefab one. |

| Well, here's the system we've decided on (it's a clone): Enpower Nitro Extreme AMD Athlon 64 3200+
160 gig H/D
512 DDR400 memory
52x CD-RW and 16x DVD-ROM Combo
256 NVIDIA GeForce 6600 PCI-Express V/C (Allows 2 monitors to be run!)
5.1 Audio
Comes in around $700.00, plus the ability to upgrade at will! (Or as budget allows!!) 2 monitors! Now I can bring my post count up!! |

video seems nice only concern about that system is the ram...I would get at least 1 gig...newegg.com sells 1 gig cards for 50-75 bucks...but its your computer... |

More memory will be added for sure, not a big concern at the moment as anything is better than what I'm running now (64 mb! ) |

| WOW. Sounds like a good system. Good luck with it! And about the ram...you can upgrade that anytime! Going from 64 to 512 is going to be night and day, so you'll be ok without the 1Gig for awhile! |

My current (and very old) H/P system is the one with 64 megs, didn't even want to bother with the OEM stuff, way too costly IMO. |

| wow 64!! Yea 512 will be a improvement but I was running that before and couldnt run limewire and even go on the net. I love having this new 2 gigs. I can run limewire, burn a cd, and play a game all at the same time and still have plenty to keep going. But let us know how your system runs once you get it. |

Man if I tried all that with my current system, it would probably commit suicide! |

| I have a Toshiba... A couple years ago I bought a Toshiba laptop and that thing is awesome. It has kicked my fiancee's laptop out of the water and his is brand new. At work though, I use a Dell and I havent had one problem yet. I kinda like it and I think you can buy them custom. I recommend it for a desktop. |
