I am taking a Linux class at school right now and still am not 100% about it. This is mainly due to my teacher and her really thick Estonian accent. I have no clue why we have to type in commands and what distro of Linux I would use to type in commands. If anyone can contribute some info I would appreciate it.

The commands are pretty much the same with all the distros. With Mandriva and Ubuntu you don't even have to use command lines for 99% of what the average joe would do with a computer.

i use Ubuntu.. there pretty cool. i use mac as well

I love using Mint OS... Everything works and runs really fast...

Dream Linux is pretty good....

All time Favorite distro for me is BackTrack3....

ahh pick me..i actually dual box...i run linux/windows.....i bounce them off different hard drives....i was doing that with HackOS and decided to give up on that POS!

I dabble a wee bit in Linux, need to spend more time though....but I also use PC's & MAC's.....
