The reason why I'm so low? Cuz I'm short and afraid of heights, and it makes it easier to wash the roof. |

| Just buy the MR. CLEAN AUTO DRY car wash kit. That's what I have. Don't even have to lift a finger to dry it. It dries SPOTLESS on it's own. |

I currently have to use the stepstool and take about 2 cloths to push off the water from the roof, ring out the cloth and repeat. Then I go back with some dry cloths and finish drying the roof and then wax it. I thought of a squeegee or squeegee type tool, but don't want to scratch the paint so that's out.
What ideas do you have to make this easier? | Actually the Cali Water Blade works great and doesn't scratch at all unless you didn't clean good. I use it on my SHOW xB all the time for 3 years with no problems. Quote:

how long have you used the mr clean auto dry. i just cant beleive that it works like that. i use the spot free rinse at a car wash (not an automatic, a manaul car wash) and i still have spots. |

I use the Mr.Clean system too. It will dry spot free if you use it correctly.Change the filter when needed and always rinse completely.
I have been using it for @ 2 years. It is getting kinda tough to find the refills anymore tho' |

| Re: Drying the roof of the box ^^^I agree, shamees are too much like work. It takes like 5 minutes to water blade off 85% of the water and get the rest with the pre dampened micro fiber. No streaks and no wringing.
On a different note... The Mr Clean things may be fine for an everyday ride but on a show car it really makes a mess out of the finish and leaves a funky residue after it dries. |

Yeah, I don't really agree that Mr. Clean autodry wash is that good either. I HAVE rinsed thoroughly and had just put a new filter in, but I still got the white spot residue that I don't even get when I use my normal wash like Turtlewax. The water is a bit hard here, but why wouldn't I have a problem also when I'm not using the Mr. clean if that's the cause?
So, no. After trying it a few times, I don't think I can recommend it either. My car is salsa red and my friend who lets me use the autodry stuff has a white car, so maybe that's why it works for him |

| Re: Drying the roof of the box I just shammy the entire roof, then take a dry one and finish up. No need for a stool when you're bagged.
The problem I have is doing it fast enough that it doesn't spot. BSP + heat = work fast, son. |

| Re: Drying the roof of the box California water blade FTW!
And when your short like me and even slammed on D2's you open the door, and step on the rockers
(I'm 5ft7) Only problem with the water blade is, if you have waxy like crap on your hands, it wants to slip out of your hands when you hit a dry spot. |

| I use the California waterblade to – works great.
I’ve also tried the Mr Clean thing, but our water is so hard the filter gives out before I can finish 2 cars! And the replacements are like $7 a pop.
I think it’s effectiveness varies depending on the quality of the water in the area. |
