| First look Gen 1 xGangster Front Visor Price is still being determined and more photos will be taken of this installed on a rat rod themed xB.
Steve is offering it in the finish shown in the photos and a brushed option for those that want to paint it to match the car.
Options are limitless on this.... get your club name etched into it....
Enough talk here are the photos.
For mounting you have a bolt from the outside and a nut on the inside. The bolt goes through an insert so you have no metal on metal contact at the hole. You pop the a pillar trim off for access to it. Here is the mount location from the outside.
We are curious if you are more interested in the finish shown or a brushed finish so please vote.
Also post up if you would like to order one and which finish brushed or shiny

| Re: First look Gen 1 xGangster Front Visor I got an email from Steve last night with these pictures and just about peed myself. This may be a serious option for me. I like the way it's supported under the visor. Looks like it will be strong enough to take the wind at speed and not pull on the mounting screws.
Gotta say that's the only part I don't care for is the mounting on the pillars. Maybe if it's color matched it won't show as much. Other than that though, bring it on! |

| Re: First look Gen 1 xGangster Front Visor The other option for mounting was inside the door and I helped veto that one for two reasons. Part would cost more but more importantly that would have affected the door seals. It is the best way to mount it for a secure and clean as possible look.
Steve is discussing price with the manufacturer and as soon as it is set we will let you all know. He is working on the best price possible for the scion community. |

| Re: First look Gen 1 xGangster Front Visor It will not pull on the mounting screws because the center supports are 3m'd to the windshield plus the downforce keeps it in place as well. There is very little lift because there is no wind obstruction. Quote:

| Re: First look Gen 1 xGangster Front Visor Would it be possible to have the upper part brushed and the lower chrome trim, that way you could get the top painted to match but still have the cool chrome strip around the bottom?
Oh yeah, absolutely love this piece! |

Actually the bottom strip is chrome extruded plastic that we use to make the retro kits and roof strips...so the answer is yes the brushed visor will have the chrome strip at the bottom. Great question keep em coming..... |

Please no requests for sponsorship on this item. I do not do private sponsorships any longer as I have switched to supporting the larger dealer, club, and Scion Corporate venues that you all attend. On a side note regarding design, this part will require you to shorten your wiper blades. I will post a recomendation for part brand and number as soon as I figure it out..lol... hey I just wing this stuff!!! ( oh ok not really..lots of sleepless nights are involved) |

| Re: First look Gen 1 xGangster Front Visor Very nice piece but due to it's mounting status (how you have to drill holes for it to mount), I don't think it will be a commonly purchased product for the typical scion driver.
Best of luck. It looks GREAT. |

Best of luck. It looks GREAT. | We designed this for easy install. The bolts are self tapping.. Just line up the part, peel the backing off the tape, press it down and zap the bolts in and your done. If you want to use it as a show only piece just use heavy duty Velcro to put it on once you are at the show. My taxi hat light had been held on like that for years on the highway even! I would not suggest driving with this piece over cruise speeds with hd automotive Velcro.25mph max. |

| Re: First look Gen 1 xGangster Front Visor For safety reasons it needs to have bolts to mount it on the side. You would not want to have this flying at you on the freeway because the 3M tape did not adhere right. |

The Gen 2 visor that I make is adhered with a Ford brand windshield sealer/epoxy that is removable. You may do what you like at your own risk. |
