All rights all you Boxes out there. Do to overwhelming demand that I start
making hatch panels for all of you outside the Atlanta area. I have become
an "Approved Vendor" here on Clubxb. These panels are not just cheap foam
on cardboard. I carve them out of a 1/4" MDF board. The main panel finishes
at 1/8" thick and the graphic is an 1/8" relief. All the edges of the relief taper
up to the face to allow the fabric a smooth transition. The panels are then
wrapped in BLACK Micro-Suede. The panels are designed to use the factory
panel fasteners and locations (except the center). I switched to a panels
fastener that has a removable screw in the center because I could take it
on and off easier. ( I got these from my local Auto supply house)

I have only made two club panels so far. They are Scinergy & Scikotics.
They are available in Black Micro-suede for $85 (plus shipping).
I'm still waiting for the guys that got those to send me pictures.

I have done a bunch of custom panels for the local guys. I charge $95 (plus shipping) with Black Micro-suede.

Because of the tooling I use to carve the panels limits the complexity of the
artwork I try to keep to simple fonts with no sharp inside angles. Simple fonts
and logos work the best. Here are some of the Custom panels I have done

Why the Black Micro-suede? Well you have got to start someplace and I can
Get the Black Micro-suede locally and that saves money. If you want to match
a specific color I have a vendor that has about 30 colors of micro-suede.
They Charge $9.50 a yard (one yard Minimum) and $9.50 shipping. So for a
paltry $19 extra you can have any color you want. I have even done one in
a Snake Skin Pleather (below) that came out fantastic. I will not charge you more
than what the fabric costs me for something custom.



Shipping:
I only charge the actual shipping cost plus the box. I expect this to be less
than $30 for just about anywhere in the US.

Thanks Alex. We had a blast driving up in '06 but a 1000 miles one way
is a long drive no matter how much fun the show is. We still talk about
making the waitress cry at the steakhouse on Saturday night.

HAHA your good, yeah I wanted the emblem like the one in the thread about your light pillars. Transformer logo wit scion logo on forehead.

The Scion logo I know is to small and intricate to cut the way I do. I tried
making it as big as possible and the inside corners are to tight. In order to
get the fabric to lay down in a grove it must be at least 1/2" wide. The
Micro-suede has very little stretch and just will not go down in small details.
The Scikotics logo is almost to detailed. I will look for a logo and do a proof
tomorrow.

Please keep in mind that round spinning tools leaves round inside corners.
With that said I think that this softening of the inside corners on the
Transforners logo wasn't to bad. Here is a concept:

I can get crushed velvet in blue. I don't have a sample but it is a very bright
blue. The Crushed velvets really look nice. I'll stop at the fabric store on
friday and see if they have a sample.
