So I had this insane idea the other day...
The first thing is this...most here have seen my B, I take it to shows and what not and I put a few pennies into it. My wifes on the other hand, doesn't get much attention and I want to change that. Her single biggest problem is the paint. It's BOP and the previous owner seems to have washed it with a steel wool pad, and the clear is scratched to hell. I thought about light sanding, buffing compound, and a dozen coats of wax, but I think that's gonna be a LOT of work...
...and I think I'm gonna paint it
...maybe by myself
She's a hair stylist, and she LOVES pink and purple, so I thought light pink outside, purple accents inside! And I'm also thinking going with a flat paint instead of glossy...if that's a bad idea, please tell me! Otherwise, you flat-painted B owners could probably give me some insight before I get stupid with this!
Here's my background...I have almost zero painting experience. Painting with air tools anyways. If this could be done with a roller, I'd be done by now! I have in storage my bumper that was removed after our landscaper incident, so I can use that for practice...
Before I continue, I wanna know what experiences you all have had with painting flat colors. ANY input or help is GREATLY appreciated!!!
