depending on which setup you have (yak/thule), youll probably need to make a platform that is the length (front/back) of your 2 crossbar for the aircraft to sit either wing down or up and use bungy strap or use yakimas rachet strap to hold the aircraft down.......

depends on what im flying, biggest plane has a 81" wing span, smallest i can just fit inside the car. The wings come off the plane, so thats not a problem. I was thinking of picking up the basket case, or load warrior just to strap them down to, but i'd much rather be able to make some mounts for my load bars to hold them. I was thiking of the ski holders or soemthing like that to hold the wing, but i doubt that it can separate enough to hold the wing securely.

I was figuring on making a mount to hold the fuselage on the roofrack just like a bike mount.

Gonna get a rack when i can find the right old school rack that is in good shape!!...im also trying to go towards the rat rod look....little by little..my rims are flat black Krylon rattle can....lol
