| Re: show us yer RACKS! Another issue with copper is that it will "work harden" due to vibration and become brittle. So just be careful with it. Especially if you use it for more than just looks (actually loading it). I must say the copper does look pretty sick though. |

| Re: show us yer RACKS! you could powdercoat the bars though right? I havent looked at mine closely, but they seem to have a rubbery coating on them that maybe needs to be there for added thickness? |

| Re: show us yer RACKS! well, i think promising to post was good luck, i just found a Yakima Basket Case for $50! Guy says he has all the clips and stuff, so we'll see when i go to look at it. I think im going to cave and pay full price for a fairing though, noone online near me is parting with theirs, they are all part of rack systems they are selling complete. so boo on that.
I may end up paying full price for a copperhead fork mount also, gotta have it look nice, also, people have powdercoated the crossbars without a problem and things still mount correctly right? |
