| Re: latest trends in Japan. [quote=onajinohito;162527]I noticed a lot of 5-lug also but when I search for wheels it is always 4-lug....hmm. Might have to ask.
Well unless you have a lexus bB, then it is 5-lug.
Sorry my jokes probably arent funny.
haha, there is a tcm like that in vegas, same grill emblem, one on the back were the scion badge was, and one that say's box in the lexus font were the xb one was! maybe they are the awd bB, not sure i know there exaust exit's on the left side of the awd bB. I should email my freind in hemeji, he is a Bbist and hit's the show's often! |

| Re: latest trends in Japan. the five lug is a conversion, not a JDM part. we can do it here too if you are willing to spend the cash. they do it to get other rim designs not offered in 4x100. So no one should be doing it here and calling a JDM 5 lug conversion cuz it's not. Like me saying I did a Gallardo door conversion on my xB. |

| Re: latest trends in Japan. I went to the bookstore yesterday and couldnt find the June issue of Stylewagon club but they had the new issue of VIP Wagon. A couple of SICK cars in there.
A great write up of the blue bB I saw at Sapporo Auto Salon - http://www.clubxb.com/forums/f44/103...on/#post155349
A couple more -
I wish I could go to TAS! I heard it was 10 times bigger than SAS. |

| Re: latest trends in Japan. OK... What Grill is this?
And what kit/bumper is this?
That red one has to be one of my favorite xBs of all time. I swear it is like the guy was picking ideas straight out of my head. (Save for some badging, etc.) Anyone have any more info. on this car?
Also, if anyone is interested in this style wheel, you don't have to drop huge coin. You can actually even get them in a 4 lug. I was considering getting some myself, but my wife thought they were absolutely hidious. Anyway, the wheels I am talking about are called Ghost and they are manufactured by Helo. They are available in an 18x7.5 +40 for 4x100.
And lastly... JDMJim... Do you think all of these cars are using PCD conversion similar to those offered by GTO in Japan? Or do you think they are actually swapping out or redrilling parts? Some of them still have a pretty decent lip. |

| Re: latest trends in Japan. Ahhh... come on Jim... you're "JDMJim"... you need to know these things!
Seriously though, the GTO option isn't all that bad in terms of offset. You lose 20mm which means you have to run high offset wheels. But the opportunities opened up by the 5 lug are pretty broad.
Now... come on guys... what kit is this? And who has som good pictures of the side skirts and rear bumper?! |

| Re: latest trends in Japan. seriously, the tC built in Japan for TAS cost $50k to build. makes no sense cuz it's a kaminari kit, volk wheels, a single L7, racing seats etc. not worth $50k.
I'll have to find the link

There is a lot more info on this car if you want it. I just have to translate it all first.
Actually just got to looking and this was just painted in April. This is what it used to look like.
The new color is nice.
