JDM Fenders?

Ok, I don't know if anyone has what I am looking for.... But it's worth a shot.

In Japan, most cars sold in the US as well as Japan have different fenders. Cosmetically, they are the same. HOWEVER there is a dimension difference, that will benefit US cars.

Unless Japan ships us Japan Spec fenders (to meet their motor vehicle safety regs), our cars have narrow fenders compared to the Toyota bB.

If anyone knows anything about this, and for sure... Please let me know. Then I will be on the search for Fender part numbers, to get from Japan. Which we can probably get threw a Toyota Dealer here in the US. I know I was able to order my Toyota Cavalier Fenders, and Tail lights threw a GM dealer. And even though the guy had NO IDEA! what I was talking about, when I gave him the p/n's they showed in stock at the warehouse, and description matched.

SO!

Help the community out. If you can do a little research (i've been trying) and find out if they are different, this will benefit those who ride low. Giving just a little more room for tire. And you can add it to your I'm a JDM Whore list. lol

Re: JDM Fenders?

well rolling fenders is helpfully, but you can get a extra 1/2" from JDM fenders typically.

Re: JDM Fenders?

I would take sum jdm fenders if u could get sum. If I could get another 1/2" of clearance that would b tight then I could go a lil wider

Re: JDM Fenders?

The oem fenders in Japan are the same as ours. They have to do the same things we do, to provide more clearance.

1/2" of extra clearance is easy to do with our fenders.

hmm, this could be really cool.

Re: JDM Fenders?

it was about 1/2" (little less) front the top center of the wheel arch out further, than the US fender. Also came with side markers (that was just a added bonus. They used Saab side markers from a Aero.)

Needless to say, when the Toyota fenders were installed, I wasn't rubbing front tires when dragging anymore, and I was able to turn a little bit at 0psi.

Oh and I heard from my friend Matt. He apparently, does not have access to the JDM parts department. He works for the US division, and the Japaneses building is like right across the street. lol.
