| Re: Driveway customs newest victom Okay I freaking love that. How much does it cost if you dont mind me asking? What is all the prep involved? Maybe gothbox could answer this better (since I though his old ride was black chalk board), on how this holds up to the elements?
Thanks

Scotty | paint and supplies was about $50 at Home Depot.
we used a "tintable" chalkboard paint that you can get in diff colors.
all I did was sand the clear coat off, prepped the surface, and rolled it on. This paint does not require a primer base coat, but you can most deff use one if you want.
when I did mine in black I had to repaint it after about 2 years, it was starting to fade a little(not bad). But my car sat in the sun all day everyday, no cover, so it saw full elements. |

| Re: Driveway customs newest victom I know someone else asked but I didn't see an answer...since this is chalkboard paint, does that mean the kids can write on it with chalk or would it mess up the paint? |

I have found out though that "sidewalk" chalk is a no go, it is real coarse and leaves scratches in the paint, stick with regular "school" chalk and you will be fine. Also if you leave it in the sun for too long the chalk tends to "bake" on, and is harder to get off.
here is a few of my car when it was black. Quote:

I love that if you scratch the paint, it's not gonna cost a ton of cash to touch it up. |
