| Re: Tbs For Box I'm not knocking the TBS spacer. The jury is still out on that one.
But I would lean toward your 1/10th drop in e.t. being due to lighter wheels Padanky. I would bet you saw a significant weight reduction between your stock steel wheels and the aluminum 501s. The combination of reduction in unsprung weight and less rotating mass can make a pretty significant difference. |

| Re: Tbs For Box Okay, searched ebay in vain for the $35 TBS. Did'nt find it but found dis: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/04-06...spagenameZWDVW
Now, I do not recall seeing coolant lines running through the TBS when I installed my Fujita short ram, but I was not looking either. IF they are there, this would be a good almost free DIY mod, that WILL work. A cooler intake charge is a denser intake charge= mo hp. The factory heats the TB on cars to prevent it from icing in REALLY cold climates, not a problem for MOST. It would be easy to do with a short piece of hose and some brass hose connectors like is shown in the pic, or just a new hose. I gotta look at this after work. |

| Re: Tbs For Box coolant doesn't flow through the TBS but it does flow through the TB, its on the underside the hoses point toward the firewall |

| Re: Tbs For Box I meant the throttle body, had TBS on the brain. So, this would work, hmmm! I love my box, it's the perfect ride, just a little wanting in the pony dept. I've been working on lightening it, as that is the cheapest mod that also benefits handling. Ten pounds of weight removed equals about 1hp, and I've pulled about 25 so far. |

I think this guy is a scammer. He got his free part. Most likely never had a Dyno hookup. |

| Re: Tbs For Box thanks for the help guys finally got it on there
the tranny dipstick was a major pain i couldnt put the bolt on afterwards cuz i had to push it a little further to hte right.
it feels like a tiny minute grunt in the low end but other than that i dont feel any difference could even be just in my head. as long as it increases gas mileage i'm happy. |

| Re: Tbs For Box Hey Guys, new to the forums, got directed here from SL. I'm an 06 xA owner and I was actually wondering about getting this for my car as I have a Injen SRI and an Optima battery. The battery mounting pointing point for the intake is rather stretched so I thought about getting a TBS to help this. I wanted to know what it did performance wise and that's how I got here. This thread didn't really answer my questions though so I did further inquiries and was directed to this article from a fellow xa owner. http://www.truckblog.com/story-444-f...e_body_spacers
Now, although even a 1% increase in performance would've been perfectly suitable to me, according to their tests they actually lose performance. That alone causes me to steer away from the product.
I'm just a fellow Scion owner wanting to give others a heads up.

| Re: Tbs For Box I just got the OBX throttle body spacer but have yet to put it on.
My buddy Blackbox06 has a TBS from another co. and says you can feel the difference in the well needed 2800-3800rpm range. fills in the low hourse gap we have in the middle. I will pit mine on here soon and will let you all know. |
