Since i installed mine with X-gauge feature i have few questions for other owners:
1. How accurate are the MPG estimates? Mine are off by about 7mpg even after i calibrated the speed data on dyno (adjsted 2% with stock wheels/tires)
2. Whats up with HP? The max reading i saw was, like 150hp
3. I really expected it to read MAF sensor data (like liters per minute or something like that) because i wanted to experiment with different CAIs to see what makes a difference. So if anyone has a universal pro scanner (Snap-On or similar): can you see the MAF data on that, or is it just not displayed by the ECM period? I have an 06.5 with CAN if that matters.
This is my current set-up. More pics here if interested: Dual Gauge Pod |
Here is mine where it used to sit I have moved it down and put a A/F gauge & Boost gauge in the cubby.
1. As for accuracy I find it spot on I have the tank set at 11 gallons, engine at 1.5L, and speedo correction at 1% with 205/50/15's speed checked against the TomTom.
Example from the drive today..
110 miles, used 3.28 gallons and averaged 33.7 MPG (3.28 x 33.7 = 110.5)
I usally don't do the fillup > done step but when I used to it was either right on or off by only a tenth.
2. HP comes right from the ECU and is supposed to be at the crank before any drivetrain loss I have done about the same thing and at WOT it does go way up there but the normal crusing numbers seem more realistic.
3. XGauge commands can be user programmed which is what the upgrade they did a while back was for to allow for more commands beyond the basics to be displayed. Here is the how to
