| Another good wieght saver would be to change the glass in the doors and sides to plexi. And you can also pull the radio and all the speakers while your at it. Not like you would need sounds other than the engine and your exhaust when your out tearing up the track. |

Ive battled in my mind about whether or not to strip the audio system out totally. For right now Im going to leave it just because this is my daily driven vehicle and I'd like to have some music when driving around.
Steering wheel and quick release go in tomorrow night. I will post the pics of the installation and the finished product as soon as I can. My computer at home to a crapper so I cant post from there... |

Thats the point. I dont really mind driving around with the exhaust resonating inside the tin can I drive now. It can be annoying after a few hours of driving on a long trip (found that out driving to Long Island last weekend) but for the most part its just fine with me.
Certainly I could just go buy a "track" car like an old miata or old 240SX, but thats not what Im interested in doing. Im interested in taking an xB to the limits of what it can be. Our xBs can do more than we give them credit for. Take Brandon's xB for example. He raced several F/I xBs on the track and beat them with his N/A setup. To me thats awesome. Good thing my car is faster than Brandon's.... |

| You know Im just messin with ya B. I'll chill on the smack talking. Your car might have been the fastest one there but then again I couldnt make it. I think you and I definately need to run and Im not about to wait until we can both make a track day next season. You really dont have that many more mods than I do. Right now you have a pulley and a grounding kit. I can't see that making too huge a difference. Once I put in my pulley (tomorrow) and get my header in (maybe tomorrow) I think its really on between you and me. My car would definately beat yours on an AutoX track and you cant deny that with all my crazy suspension mods... |

| thats the JDM grille from Mybox, not the TRF grille. totally different grilles, and not to be confused.
good luck on your project joe, ill be interested to see how it turns out. if you ever decide to get rid of that grille for weight saving purposes... hit me up!

| Yeah Im pretty sure that grill is light enough for me...
I was definately lucky to get it in the first place and then I was extremely lucky with the price I got it for. Im in love with it so I cant see selling it anytime soon...
...Having some issues with the Perrin intake system. Anytime Im going over 45mph and I let the engine tach all the way down it just shuts off. The ECU isnt catching the revs at idle and I think the MAF sensor isnt reading right. I will have to play with it tomorrow when I get a chance. |
