| Pattern for mod T/B gasket For those of you doing the 1zz T/B mod (think that's the one) the gasket sent along with an OBX T/B spacer is your match. I've contacted EZ to see if he needs to borrow one. Matches up with the Weapon R intake manifold/ Gude bored T/B combo. Only a slight gasket match trim is needed inside the bore. |

| Re: Pattern for mod T/B gasket What about stock gasket from Toyota for 1zz? I think they are only $5.
Still want to do this mod but want to see if the CEL issues got all corrected. |

@OP: Have you compared the 1zz tb with the gude yet? Just curious how they compare. |

| Re: Pattern for mod T/B gasket Read the DIY, but am confused on the year call outs of the Corolla Throttle body. All the sites I checked with say the 98 to 02 body is interchangeable.
How can i describe the difference between the 00 to 02 body and the 98 to 00 body before I buy one? Does anyone have a pic of the rear air passages for a comparison? Or can I explain that I am looking for the body that has two sensors (TPS and ISC) while the one i do not want has three sensors (TPS, ISC and MAP)? |

| Re: Pattern for mod T/B gasket The early ones have MAP on it- you don't want that. It can still be used but some air passages will have to be filled with JBWeld or something like that. |

| Re: Pattern for mod T/B gasket Actually I've been tempted to send out my other T/B to Max bore and compare that w/ the Gude. The Gude mates perfectly w/ the Weapon R intake manifold....that was my main worry.
PCH I haven't compared the 1zz gasket. Sorry, I didn't mean to sound like people should purchase the OBX spacer just for gaskets....didn't mean that, sorry. |

| Re: Pattern for mod T/B gasket EVAP has been the only code ever thrown. I've scanned it with a reader many times. When it's sealed I haven't had issues, but mine is still not sealed properly as it does leak from time to time. |

| Re: Pattern for mod T/B gasket Hey Victor,
Ive been watching the other thread glad to see more info on this swap. Looks like there were 4 diff part #'s for those year throttle bodies22210‑0D010, 22210‑0D040, 22210‑22020, 22210‑22090. From what I can tell the ones stamped 22020 are the earlier ones with MAP on it. 0D010,0D090 and 0D040 S/B without. Can someone confirm this? the last digits should be on the side like here. | Re: Pattern for mod T/B gasket Looking at the above gasket pic and the OBX throttle body spacer's on Ebay, none of them have that small hole cutout shown in the DIY. Does anyone have a pic of the one that they pulled out when removing the original T/B. |

follow the toyodiy link, click on gasket # then it will show all part #'s.
Maybe one of them is right for the swap.

| Re: Pattern for mod T/B gasket In the Ebay ad, it clearly states "actual pic", kinda makes me nervous. Someone else want to order one so I can see if it's the correct one. LOL
Then again.....it does show a 4 bolt T/B spacer, where the Corolla is 3 bolts. Gonna have to try it.

| Re: Pattern for mod T/B gasket PCH, the info I got back from OBX backs what you said up. I wanted just a plain aluminum finish...hence the polished OBX craving. I'm probably gonna have to sway over to one of the other brands.
Gotta love all the info everyone has to share!!!
Thank you!!!! |
