I did the same thing and shorten my Fujita CAI. Check out this
thread. But I noticed that the Intake Air Temp registering in my ScanGauge was high. I was noticing about 10-12 degrees hotter than the outside temp when cruising. When idling, it can go up to about 30-40 degrees more than the outside temp. I'm not really sure if there is any harm done if the intake air is too hot but I changed to a Fujita SRI.
