He has the can hooked up the way I originally had mine hooked up. Technically, the catch can goes on the line between the PCV valve and the intake. The are no real detrimental effects of having it hooked up the way he does. Mine was that way for 2 years before I changed it to the "proper" way. And the only reason I changed it was to add even more color under the hood. I now have 4 hoses to cover in stainless braid instead of 2.
