Re: The Intake Thread

Can anyone tell me where I can purchase good Cold Air Intakes or SRI. I am not sure what a competitive price is and need a good source to purchase it from. I specifically am looking for a Fujita SRI.

Re: The Intake Thread

eBay has good deals on SRIs and CAIs, but read the thread for explanation why theres no reason to run a CAI

Re: The Intake Thread

I'm pretty much convinced that any SRI will do the same (I haven't tried any CAIs because I'm focused on improving low-end power). Before, I ran a K&N drop in filter with a modded stock airbox (plastic mesh and carbon filter was removed), and I noticed some gains from it. I recently got a TRD CAI and used it as an SRI paired with a Injen Hydro Shield as my engine bay sneaks in some water during heavy rain. While my engine sounds WAAAAY more aggressive with the new intake, there was no difference in power between the TRD SRI and the K&N drop in. Just wanted to share this with you guys.

Re: The Intake Thread

I just recently installed my Fujita SRI....definitely sounds better with a tiny bit better throttle response. I've kept my foot out of it for this most recent tank of gas and the MPG have definitely gone down a little bit....4 mpg to be exact. But, I don't care...I love the new intake..LOL!!

Re: The Intake Thread

I hope you didn't get a blow off valve with your intake. If so, there is no reason to install it. Perhaps you got a water bypass valve, if so, it just goes on your intake pipe via the instructions.
