Has any one thought of using caliper epoxy paint on the valve cover? Or would the temp get too hot.

that would work.

now do u mean the valve cover or the plastic engine cover?

the valve cover doesnt get too hot. but any "high heat" paint should do teh trick just fine.

I mean the valve cover, not the plastic engine cover....I think the e-poxy might look good almost a powder coated look.

if you really want to make sure it will stay in place after all the cleaning us SEM flexi primer it will give the paint a good bite on the plastic it works so good i even painted my visors and they are still plyable as stock.

that would be sweet....did you paint your cover yourself? Mad Props

Yeah, I really doubt you have to use Hi-Temp paint on the engine cover but I would sugest it if you were doing the Valve cover it never hurts to be prepared.

The wires under the cover are a big Cluster ****, I noticed that when I took off the engine cover to install my AEM Intake.

Good luck on yours Luv, be sure to post pics for us when you finish it

I wish I had the talent to do it myself, but I did get it done for free so that's a bonus.

The people that did my paint screwed some stuff up so they did that for free because they felt bed.

Ihave painted mine. It isn't that extensive as Frankenscions...but.

I did not sand the surface, just made sure that it was super clean. I used about 4 coats of Metallic Black Paint(similar to Black Sand Pearl) for the cover and taped off the letters and did them in Metallic Orange(Hot Lava). Then 3 clear coats.

It's hard to see the Metallic finish int he pics but here they are.

This is the piece I was talking about originally I hope engine cover is the proper name.

You guys are confusing me with the engine cover valve cover thing. LOL

THe piece in my pics is the Engine Cover. The Valve Cover is underneath the Engine Cover. FOr the Engine Cover, I don't know if you need High Temp Paint or not. I haven't had any issues in the 4 months since I painted mine.
