Re: blown motor club's newest member.

I have the crower rods but went with the cp pistons 9.5-1 also. I've been talking woth Chris at arp for over a year now about studs for our engine, well actually our first conversation wasn't til 11/13/08 while there has not been anything produced yet I thought we might have worked something out but it's slipped thru the cracks. there is a local company in Cincinnati Oh that makes bolts with the strength of studs from what i'm hearing from my new engine guy that is part owner and main tech in a top fuel race team, but only time will tell. I'll know by the end of the month. I was running 8lbs on the low side and 12 lbs on the high side of boost, after we get the engine back in were planning on puting 18lbs on the high side.

XBMAN26 is on a distinguished road
Re: blown motor club's newest member.

I asked about the cost of custom studds and it was extremely expensive. So I took the necessary measurements and found crank studs that were a close match the head studds are 10x1.25mm while our head bolts are 9x1.5mm from what I'm told the head itself will fit a 10mm bolt but we're going to mill in out to make sure there is proper space. After it has been done and put back together sucessfully I'll post part numbers on my thread.
