| Re: what exactly do i need to lower the box? It all depends on how low you go. If it is a mild drop then all you need is springs, but if you go for a drop you will also need to replace shocks and struts. A lot of people go for a big drop on springs and ride it like that for thousands of miles no problem, but others put them on and have the stock shocks or struts blow a week or so later. By big drop I mean 2 inches or more. Any other questions feel free to send me a pm or just post it here.

| Re: what exactly do i need to lower the box? ive actually herd out stock struts arent too shabby w/ new springs, as for the rear shocks are supposed to blow
just got a pair of sprint springs last week witch ill be installing when my new shocks come in, the last coil on all the springs was cut as well so im sure thatll give me a heck of a drop,
but ill be sure to post some pics in this thread for you |

| Re: what exactly do i need to lower the box? my setup:

and goldline springs .

| Re: what exactly do i need to lower the box? Yes it is bad to cut springs, for the cost of used springs it is not worth the time or risk.
That "extra" coil people cut off is there for a reason, it is part of the progressive spring rate. If you cut springs you change the spring rate and also the amount of weight it can handle. |
