now for the possiblitlies i can think of: i had the sleeve bags when i first bought the ES kit and they lasted almost 2 yrs. my driver rear bag decided to get a pinch at the top of the bag where o-ring clamp attaches the bag to hardware which in turn is why my sleeve blew while driving (good times as we all know)!!! it could have also been that your bag was wearing out due to all the use of ups and downs and just wore out and blew!
but on the flip side of everything - did you find any electrical problems that would otherwise exlcude the bag defects? glad you were able to limp your way home without any real damage to the box. |
well I am sure the bag had a weak spot or whatever, and the 200+psi was not teh only cause of it, but having that much put to it IS what caused it to blow, in combo with said spot. Who knows how much loger it could have lasted with not putting 200+psi to it all at once. I have run them for about a year and a half before this happened with prob 30K miles on them, so they have seen their use thats for sure.
and it was a loose ground to my pressure switch that caused my compressor to not cut off.
But all is good, I got a box from EZ last week, just waiting on this rain that has been going on for the past week and half to swap stuff out.
Thanx for the info Sakura, so basically its just part of the emissions crap , I have actually forgot about it and have driven the car several hundred miles with it broke off with no side effects that I can tell.
