Re: wanting to bring it down a bit...

I have 1.5" drop and that really changed the look of the B but I still have a little gap in the rear and it irritates me so I am either going to put a spacer back there or drop it... or maybe both. Hmmm... decisions decisions.

Here is what it looks like with a 1.5" drop:

Re: wanting to bring it down a bit...

both of your cars look very nice... the look im going for is low with -camber... of course the -camber only looks real good with the car low low, but can I get it low enough for it to look good with the -camber with only a 2 inch drop?

i really dont want to have to bag my box right now as i am currently thinking about doing more engine mods but can afford the springs not the fancier stuff like air.

so I guess... is a 2 inch drop good enough to pull off good looks on low pros with negative camber...?

Re: wanting to bring it down a bit...

Really depends on the rim size, and how they will tuck at two inches.. :unsureshrug:

Re: wanting to bring it down a bit...

unfortunately I can't accurately get a measurement on the wheels... they came on the box when I bought her, and while I dont particularly like the whole chrome look, I have decided to keep them as the previous over spent over a grand on them, and I can make em look good on the box...

I hit em with a measuring tape said 19.5 inches across the rim... but i know they dont make no half sizes and the chrome elements that I have only run 18" and 20" but these things dont look like twenties...

god I hate being stupid... why I gotta be so stupit?!

Re: wanting to bring it down a bit...

whats the size of the tire... could help determine the actual rim size

camber with a 2" inch isnt in my book a look to go for. Im currently pushing past 2 and im just on 16" but my rims dont say camber at all

up to you, its your b and your style do what you want

Re: wanting to bring it down a bit...

Man I really don't know... wheels & tires have never been my specialty... too many different numbers and sizes for me to remember... damn that prop 215!

I guess what i'll be doing is this, seems like a better plan...

1) I will drop my box 2 inches, because I will want that anyhow
2) If the gap is minimal enough, then I will consider the camber kit.

I dont think I know as much as I should about the combinations between rim/tire/camber but I have a friend whos handy with all of that stuff, so I feel comfortable going for it... but sometimes I let my excitement take control and I think I need to just calm it down, get the springs, try 'em out, and then take it from there...

If anyone has any recommendations that'll be sweet! AND! I will be getting my tire size & rim size for all of you later today...

Anyhow... I have a computer to repair for a client, so I will be back around a little bit later

Re: wanting to bring it down a bit...

the size of the tire is on the tirewall, a combo of numbers like 215/30/r18 or something like that
if you want it to look decent, spacers might be needed depending the offset of the rim, which you might not know, but you can use a ruler that has mm or cm on it and determine how much you need

also ive seen nearly everyone with camber or spaced tires is that the fenders are rolled or in some cases pulled to avoid rubbing issues or to achieve that flush look

theres a bunch of threads concerning what offsets look best and size wheel/size tire and camber sizes and whatnot, search is your friend and prepare to educate yourself

starters: Wheel Technical Information 101

this helps me once i did research and found my offset and width: Offset Guru Thread

my .02 if you dont like the chrome, why keep it? chances are someone of the forums here or local might want the set and you can save and buy another set exact how and what you want

Re: wanting to bring it down a bit...

Width and offset are important when it comes to making camber look good. If your running say a +40, no matter how low you go, camber is just gonna suck the rear in more. Spacers will help with higher offset wheels though.
