| Re: tanabe coilovers? good? bad? Well it depends on what you're looking for. They are great quality, with proper dampening paired with the spring rates they come in. The only downside is that it's max drop is just about the same as running DF210s (maybe even less), so you're better off saving money and running a well-balanced spring-shock setup.
If you want good, cheap slamming coilovers, go with Progress Tech. |

| Re: tanabe coilovers? good? bad? For cheap, yes, Progress is good for that if you just want the height.... Put if you want all around good, go with D2 or Ksports. If you want a little more stiffness upgrade to the D2's or KSports GT Pro's. But that price is up there. |

| Re: tanabe coilovers? good? bad? I have the tanabe coilovers, i love the way they ride. they arent dampening adjustable so that sometimes sucks but i dont mind, you can always get koni adjustables or sumthing if u want them a little stiff but as for springs in the rear i mean all coils for our cars are around 3k. I ordered lower springs for the front from tanabe with a higher spring rate. its all good. as for the rear they can go as low as other coilovers. i doubt 1.5 is the lowest. if i wanted i could tuck tire if i wanted with out taking the perch out. and if i did take the perch out i could tuck almost half a tire. 195 50 15 |

| Re: tanabe coilovers? good? bad? D2 are waaay low! Spend the extra money and get the lower drop with good quality. Even if it takes you a few months to save 3-4 hundo, do it!
Once you get the SUS you will love them, and then wish you could go lower...just get good ones that CAN drop lower and set them at 1.5" drop if you want it that way. At least you will be able to go lower and you will be able to play with the dampening |

| Re: tanabe coilovers? good? bad? Dampin is how soft or firm the shock is. Firm doesn't allow for much shock travel or up and down. Soft allows for more.
Also effects ride quality and the way it handles. |
