| Re: Suspension FAQ I'm looking at a set of Tanabe Pro S-OC coilovers. They're selling for $854 shipped. Is that a decent price? And I can install that myself with a jack and jackstands, correct?
That ought to lower and stiffen the ride, I'm thinking. Performance (without a huge drop in ride comfort) is what I'm looking for. Hard cornering tends to induce some body roll. |

| Re: Suspension FAQ Anytime you go coilovers, don't expect "comfort" from them. You want comfort, you go air, or leave it stock. lol.
But yeah, no special tools needed. 10mm, 17mm, 19mm, BFH and a BFScrewdriver, then a lug wrench is about all you'll need. Go Toyota! lol
Price isn't bad. Little below the Ksport D2 price, and just a tad higher than progress. |

| Re: Suspension FAQ Springs are correct, but what you're looking at is a "assistance" bag. It goes inside the spring and inflates and deflates to help lift the car under heavy loads or towing... So the air lift is NOT what you want.
This is what you want for rear shocks...

| Re: Suspension FAQ rear shocks are straight forward, remove 3 nuts, install 2 back on (reuse bottom bolt, new top bolt comes with them)...
Springs are also straight forward on the rear.
There are install guides around here, but i don't much feel like searching for them right now. lol |

| Re: Suspension FAQ run them down the strut. That's what I did on my cavalier. But leave enough slack so you don't put tension on the line. That can result in an epic fail. |
