| Re: Rear disc brake conversion? Those Yaris discs are nasty! But shouldnt it just take another Toyota's rear discs as long as its bolt pattern is 4:100? I wouldnt think that they would be too hard to swap in. (Man the Honda guys have it easy in this department...) |

| Re: Rear disc brake conversion? A simple toyota to toyota swap isn't ever going to happen. You can't take a xB2 suspension (which has rear disc) and put it on a xB1. Dimensions are way different, and the xB1 runs a solid axle.
What Cody linked you to is the kit for a Yaris. It is unknown if it will be a direct bolt on for the xB1. The only way to tell is to either 1: Try it. 2: Do a lot of spec measurements and compare the two. |

| Re: Rear disc brake conversion? Yeah, so wtf? Ad placement much?
But anyways, next time my friend Fred is around, I'll have him grab me the bracket from his work, and I'll see where it lines up at on our cars. We can run a lot of easy to get parts because of what they are from, and they aren't too pricey for a stock/oem replacement.
As for the rear, my friend Matt who is an engineer for Toyota can't really help me at all for xB stuff. He doesn't handle the xB since it is a 100% Japan car But I'll see what kind of info he can get me for the Yaris.

| Re: Rear disc brake conversion? there was/is a guy in middle Tn I think that was making kits for the rear at one point. He had a big build up over on the other site, and was using all Toyota parts, and a few custom brackets etc.
I will try and find the topic. |

I remember something about Harley Davidson parts, or he worked in a Harley shop.... It had something to do with Harley. It may be on here as well. |

| Re: Rear disc brake conversion? Well, thanks for the info guys. I have seen the Willwood oversized kit for all four corners. It retails for close to $2000 so I wanted to go about a cheaper alternative. |

When we did it to Cavaliers (88-05's) we were using Neon rear disc. Its all in finding what works. Cavaliers had solid rear axles as well. |

| Re: Rear disc brake conversion? Thanks for that link Gothbox. I am optimistic, it looks like its possible. There probably isnt enough demand for a mainstream kit. I would buy one though. If it can be done on a Cavalier solid axle, it can on an xB1 too. |
