| Re: Need Stock springs or go with a 215 35 18, its alot more popular tire size for 18s on a scion. the sunnys arent bad tires, i have 2 of those up front and im really happy with them. i have the stock springs, but i doo think you should stay lowered and either go with a different tire, or maybe some camber to clear the lip. |

| Re: Need Stock springs As stated a couple times (repitition might make it seem like the right answer...lol) I too have 225/40R18's and they rub at stock height when I turn the wheels to full lock. However, most people that I know with a 2" drop are running 215/35R18's with NO rubbing issues whatsoever. |

| Re: Need Stock springs I can tell you that they 225/40's rub no matter what on the front. If they are rubbing on the read then you're dropped more than an inch. What is the offset on your wheels? and what color are your springs? |

He might like the ride of the meatier tire, As long as the shave and or roll is done right and resealed, I do not think a problem would arise unless you are were it snow's and they salt the roads.
Usually rolling and shaving is for a more agressive set up, but it could provide as a option , weigh in your cost and options, the tire would probably be ideal, but if you are like me, you'll probaby change your rims every 6 month's so the rolling would allow for more variety! |

The offset must be way wrong for the tires to be rubbing. They should be 18X7 or 7.5 with 40mm offset. Anything far from that IS the cause for the rubbing and NOT the springs. Whoever sold you those wheels should have asked what they were going to be used on. |

| Re: Need Stock springs The only way that those 48mm offset wheels will work is with 20mm spacers out back and 10mm spacers up front.
BTW where are the pics you posted? I don't see them or links to them. |

20mm in the rear and it'll chew tires if the fenders aren't rolled with the 225/40'. I was running a set of 006's ET +38 with 10mm in the rear and chewed tires before I rolled the rear a little. They are going to rub like hell on turns in the front no matter what. There is a place on the fender wall (firewall) that has to be beat in to clear but you're still gonna rub on the inside. OH and if you put a 10mm wheel spacer up front you'll have to get longer wheel studs. |
