Need help on Spacer size

What's the biggest spacer you can run without needing extended studs? I have 10mm rear spacer shims already and I'm looking to get spacers all around as well.

I hear that as long as you can make 8 full turns with the lug nut you should be okay. Is that still the case with 5mm?
